History

The Lightkeepers Seafood Restaurant started in 1993 in the former residence of the lightkeeper of the Fishing Point Lighthouse. Locally owned and operated, the restaurant has been a mainstay of the dining environment in the St. Anthony area. The restaurant has built a solid reputation as the premier seafood restaurant in the area and has been highly recommended by many national and international publications such as “The Lonely Planet” “Fedors” “Where to Eat in Canada” and Macleans Magazine.

Menu

We offer a full menu of seafood items as well as many choices from the grill. We have built our reputation on seafood, but we are also a favorite place for chicken, ribs and mouthwatering steaks. Nearly all of our seafood is procured locally, and in season we offer all of the most popular dishes from the oceans. Lobster, Crab, Mussels, Shrimp, Salmon, Halibut and of course, Cod and Cod Tongues are all available prepared in various styles.

Location

We are located in St. Anthony, at the tip of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Northern Peninsula, within a few kilometres of L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Viking Site and just over an hour from the Labrador Ferry at St. Barbe.
